Some projects are born in meeting rooms. Others are born on the open road. Okresky was born somewhere in between—on a narrow mountain pass, chasing great light, making a questionable navigation choice, and having absolutely zero regrets.

Who?

Okresky is created by me—Miloš. I’m an enthusiastic driver, a curious traveler, and a passionate photographer. I prefer real-world miles over algorithms, trusting my own eyes over internet rankings, and seeking out roads that surprise me. I drive for the pure joy of it, stopping when the landscape demands it, knowing the best photos and meals usually happen off the planned route. Okresky is simply how I travel, meticulously documented and packaged so you can get behind the wheel and join in.

What?

Okresky is a series of premium, curated road trip guides dedicated to the world's best backroads. This isn’t about setting top-speed records or ticking off crowded tourist traps. It’s about the art of the road trip—connecting pure driving pleasure with striking photography, authentic local food, and genuine discovery. Think less “fastest route” and more “best memory.”

When?

The journey began in 2020 with our first book, OKRESKY – Slovensko. What started as a local passion project rapidly accelerated into a full European series covering Czechia, Croatia, and Italy/Switzerland. Along the way, we earned the trust of the automotive world, creating custom projects for Porsche, Mercedes-AMG, and Audi Sport. In 2024, we elevated the entire project, redesigning the books into the refined Touring Guide concept you see today, developed proudly alongside our main partner, BMW.

Where?

We are proudly based in Slovakia. This is the starting line for every adventure, the studio where the routes are mapped and the books are designed, and the dispatch center where your packages are carefully boxed up and shipped directly to you.

Why?

The reason is simple: I love driving, photography, tangible books, and beautiful design. When I realized there wasn’t a single guidebook that combined all of these the way I wanted, I stopped waiting for someone else to make it. Okresky exists because I wanted a travel companion I’d genuinely enjoy owning, using, and displaying on my coffee table. It turns out, I wasn’t the only one.

The Short Version: Okresky is what happens when a driving enthusiast can't find the perfect guidebook—and decides to take the long way around to create it himself, bringing a camera and a premium aesthetic along for the ride.
